Step into the world of kava with Kavahana at our pop-up event in the bustling Mar Vista Farmer’s Market, located at Grand View and Venice Boulevard (See map), on Sunday, July 30th, 2023! We’re open from 9 am – 2 pm, rain or shine, ready to share a piece of Pacific culture with you.
Kavahana, Los Angeles’s first kava-only bar, invites you to delve into the history and tranquility of kava. This traditional drink, brewed from the roots of the kava plant, is a non-alcoholic alternative enjoyed in social settings throughout the South Pacific and Hawaii. Its uplifting and relaxing properties have fostered community and conversation for over 3000 years.
Our pop-up event at Mar Vista Certified Farmers’ Market gives you the chance to explore a variety of vegan kava drinks. Our menu includes both traditional kava tea and innovative recipes like our popular brown sugar kava milk tea. Experience the fusion of old and new, tradition and innovation, as we present these delectable beverages amidst the fresh-picked produce, grass-fed meats, cheeses, and sustainably caught seafood that the market is known for.
Kavahana is a celebration of AAPI culture, a support system for the local Pacific Islander community, and an educational platform for LA to learn about this fascinating drink. The Mar Vista Farmer’s Market is the perfect Sunday stop to meet your neighbors, discover community offerings, and have some much-needed fun.
